Birmingham International airport is very easy to reach by car. The airport is is located 8 miles east of Birmingham City Centre at the centre of the national motorway network. It is situated on the A45 (Coventry Road) only 1 mile from junction 6 of the M42, from where there are direct connections to the M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll and M40. The airport is signposted from both the motorways and major roads. The new M6 Toll provides a congestion-free alternative to the M6 between junctions 4 and 11.

Coming from the North West take  the M6, take exit 4A onto M42 towards M40/Solihull. Take exit 6 onto A45 and follow signs to Birmingham Airport.

Travelling from Nottingham and Leicester

Take  the M42, exit  at junction 6 onto A45 and follow signs to Birmingham Airport.

Travelling from the South ( Oxfod)

Take to M6. Exit at junction  6 onto A45/Coventry Rd and follow signs to Birmingham Airport.

Travelling from the South West and Wales

Take the M5 towards M40. Take exit 6 onto A45 and follow signs to Birmingham Airport.
